More Stitches Samples

These are two different cards I made for Stitches. The above one was done using Basic grey Swirlie stamp embossed with distressing embossing powder, hence the mat effect (black soot color) on a tag distressed with marigold (distress ink pad). The message is 7 Gypsies, background is alcohol inks on acetate.

This one is done with Perfect Pearls, Forever Violet. The monogram was done with the lifting technique and glossy accents over it. Alcohol inks on the background again.

Stitches

I am back from Stitches, or the Craft and Stitching Trade show in the UK. This was the third time I was demonstrating for the full duration of the show at the Kars stand. My job was demonstrating all the Ranger products that Kars carries, like the Perfect Pearls, Alcohol Inks, Distressing stuff and much more. The photo above was taken the third day, as you can see by my tired expression, I had not much energy left.

The card above was one of the samples that I had, it was done with Alcohol inks, Basic Grey Two Scoops Swirlie stamps and Ultra Thick embossing powder (for the monogram). I hope to post more photos of the samples in the next few days.
The girls (Lynn and Glenda) at the Elusive Images stand save me from a complete lack of tags on which to demonstrate the techniques by the second day, as I hand them to customers, so a big Thank YOU!

Cindy Rapsom was another Kars demonstrator and did a faboulous job showing off the cuttlebug new dies and embossing folders. These two photos are of mother and daughter duo, Vanessa (top) and Polly (bottom) Noonan. Vanessa is the owner of Craftability and she was demonstrating the Cricut Expressions + Design Studio. Polly was in office duties which included answering loads and loads of a variety of important, silly and annoying questions, but she always had that smile. Polly is also the designer of Polly doodles, a range of scrapbooking and cardmaking papers.

Amanda Walker is a fantastic fellow Quick & Crafty and Crafts Beautiful all round designer. She is now the Kars expert on jewelry which she demonstrated at the Show. She has recently published a beautiful jewelry book within the Search Press 20 to make collection.

Some of my favorite companies have gone trade this year. Above the Craftwork Cards stand who have launghed Oh My Word, die cut foiled wording designed and manufactured in the UK. And of course, they have a few sets designed by yours truly: Rescue Words (in Birthday and Mixed Sayings), Simply Sayings in Circles, Besides Words (Patterned circles) and, of course my Simply Sayings.

Above the Banana Frog stand, don't you just love the name? And it is run by Bev Fletcher a really nice northen girl who designs beautiful and really good quality clear stamps.

The card above and the flowers bellow were done by the uber talented Jane Gill. She is absolutely one of my papercraft heroes alongside Julie Hickey and a few others. She does a beautiful and intricate work, something I could never do.

Jane was once again at the Woodware stand demonstrating how to make this flowers out of plain paper using the floral punches.

Wendy Rhodes
is another one of the girls who has taken her ideas to a new level by stablishing her company, Wild Rhodes.

A silly photo of me at the hotel room. I am so in love with my new camera that I want to explore all different possibilities, like the self portait. This one was the best one out of a dozen, so you can imagine how bad the rest were.

And the last photo had to be the one of Tim Holtz and my self. there is a little bit of funny story there. As I told you at the begining of the post, I was demonstrating Ranger products one of them being the Distressing range which is one of Tim Holtz products. Funny thing, since he was demonstrating them in the Personal Impressions stand just accross of me, in fact if you look to the right hand side of the photo you can just about to see the glass shelving where I had displayed my samples. Tim was really nice though and even came once to my demo area to see what I was doing. Can you imagine that? I mean, demonstrating products to the person who is behind them?

One of the cool new releases were his new stampers anonymous stamps some of them in ATC sizes, which you can see here.

By the way, the picture was taken by P.I. boss Jayne Owles while she was on the phone to a super busy Dawn Bibby. That is what I call multi task. By the way, today Dawn Bibby opened the doors of her new shop in Oswaldtwistle.

Stitches and othe bits

Not a very good blogger, am I? Well, to be honest I have been uploadings stuff every day to the Crafty Storage one, but forgetting a tiny bit about this one.
Anyway, the photo above is a sneak peak of what I will demonstrating at Stitches, all Ranger products at the Kars booth as usual.

A week later

And busy as well.
Today I spent some time at Julie Hickey's house doing some prep work for something exciting. And, I know Julie is going to hate me for this, but here is she making cards:
