QVC CraftDay
Yesterday I when up to QVC to help out Dawn and Leonie to set up demos and samples for the Craft Day. Although it is extremely hard work, it is intense and fast paced, I enjoy it as you are faced with a craft challenge every 15 mins or so.
But it is exhausting. So today I am going to take it easy and try to sort out some stuff because tomorrow I am helping out Julie Hickey in her Down South Workshop.

When little things go wrong
You know the little things: heating, running water, electricity... and internet connection. Well, I have been having a few days of the little things going wrong. No big deal but when the little things start going a little bit wrong it is exhausting, at least for me.
Right now, the internet connection that I am using is a mobile broadband which is not the fastest more capable of all but has to do it until our new standard broadband provider gets hold of our MAC code (nothing to do with the fact that I use an Apple computer and all to do with Tiscali being absolutely crap and not supplying the mentioned Migration Code). I am hopeful but not naive, so I will have to keep my fingers crossed that the new provider will get it sorted some time soon, that is in the next couple of weeks.
This morning I woke up in a cold house that happens to be the same one that yesterday was warm and cozy. The reason? Simple some simple issue with the heater, nothing unusual but when it happened before, Omar was at hand to fix it and me, my usual self not interested too much in this sort of things, had no idea how to solve it. Let me tell you, it is not a nice way to start the day even though I had a lovely lay in bed. Anyway, I solved the problem after a few goes which is quite good for my self confidence in fixing house things.
Then I realized that the leak in the kitchen still is not fixed not a major one but still needs fixing. One of these days...
So for all the little things going wrong, I am afraid I am not in the mood to upload any images just in case of what may happen if I attempt to do so.

Wraps for cards
I am loving wraps specially the ones from Craftwork Cards are they are so versatile for cards and mini albums, you can cover them up, stamp them...
Here I used die cut shapes and stickers from Love Letters (My Little Yellow Bicycle) and some Basic Grey buttons.

Stitches report
My internet connection is absolutely rubbish, and it means that I cannot upload any photos. However, I should be able to upload a just plain boring text entry about Stitches the craft trade show in the UK.
As I have done for the last four editions I was demonstrating at the Kars booth. We were all very busy almost all the time, specially the reps. I demonstrated Your Story a thermal binder and laminating, which I absolutely love. I suppose I am very lucky that I get to demonstrate a product that I am totally passionate about.
As always, it was a treat to see Glenda and Lynn from Elusive Images, which not only do super beautiful stamps but also supply Glimmer Mist and Stampbord. And they are really generous. Thanks for the goodies girls! Hopefully you will be able to see how they have inspired me both in print and here.
Stix2 had some faboulous new products like the clear foam pads and tape (yes, it is possible) and the really great new tape gun called glider.
At the Woodware stand you could find the lovely Francoise Read and Jane Gill who have come up with some really great clear stamps.
The Sizzix was absolutely gorgeous and with new releases that are to die for.
As fun as it was, I am glad to be now back at home and be able to cuddle Wasabi and put my feet up!

Snow
Just to make sure you know, it does snow in many parts of Spain every year. And not only in the mountains. However, ten inches of snow is not something you get used to growing up in Mallorca. So today I was static to wake up to this lovely sight. So I went for a stroll which unfortunately is not one of my habits.
The park at the end of the road was a sight to be seen. So white, so beautiful, so pure. And so silent. Except, of course, for the muffled and lovely sound of several groups of children playing in the distance enjoying their Monday off school.
But I suppose, that was to be expected. What I wasn't expecting at all was to meet with one of my neighbors actually skiing! This lovely chap went up the hill several times to ski down the hill. Then, he did ski up to the door of his house. How lovely and unexpected.
