Last Sunday, the uber talented Pete Hughes was on Create and Craft on Sunday (on the Tool Shed and later on the Simply Sizzix hour). He demonstrated among others some of my Winter Moments dies and stamps, you can see them all here. He had fab samples done in a very clean and graphic style, which is quite similar to my go-to style. Very different from what I have doing this week:

To make the structure I use this the larger tree on this set, 658623 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK w/Stamps - Trees, Leafy. Pretty different look, eh!
Últimamente me he inspirado a probar cosas diferentes con pinturas y texturas, ya sea inspiracion de la mano de la pandilla Paperarsty - Leandra, Lin Brown y Jo Firth Young - y también por el increíble talento que es Andy Skinner.
Para hacer que la estructura usé el árbol más grande de este set, 658623 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 5PK w / Sellos - árboles, frondosos. Un look bastante diferente!
I started with crisp white card - I like Inspire me 270gsm Snow white, quite thick but die cuts beautifully and takes on acrylic paint quite well. I die cut four of the plain large trees as folded cards. Basically means that I take a piece of crad fold it in half and then die cut it folded making sure that the fold edge is inside the die. Then I glue one side to the other folded card and so on until I had a pyramid. I then die cut four leafy trees of the large size and proceed to paint them separately, only glued them to the pyramid once the whole thing was finished.
Empecé con la cartulina blanca - Me gustan Inspire me 270gsm Snow white bastante gruesa, pero se corta muy bien con los Framelits y aguanta la pintura acrílica muy bien. Troquelé cuatro de los árboles grandes como tarjetas dobladas. Básicamente esto significa doblar una cartulina por la mitad y luego troquelarla doblada asegurándose de que el borde con el eje de doble se encuentra dentro de la los limites de la cuchilla. Una vez cortadas las cuatro tarjetas, pegue las tarjeta dobladas - lado izquierdo de una postal al de la derecha de la siguiente y así sucesivamente hasta que tuve una pirámide. Finalmente, troquelé cuatro árboles con hojas. Y así separados, procedí a pintarlos, pegándolos solo cuando ya estaban todos los elementos pintados.
I used a variety of paints: Paperarsty Beach Hut, Blood Orange, Pumpkin Soup, Elephant and DecoArt's Americana's Persimmon, Burnt Umber, Lamp Ebony (Black). The textures are Decoart's Crackle, Terracotta and Fierro. And to add some metallic effect I added some Treasure Gold in Onyxite, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Olive Brown and Pewter.

Depending on the light, the colours and the finishes change. Each side is slightly different. I just love the rusty effect.

And this is so you can see the proportion. It is actually quite small, but looks rather solid. And to think it is all paper and paint!
