Distressing a patchwork panel

I am happy to admit that when I get a technique that I enjoy I will keep repeating it until I get tired of it, which accounts for the series of postings on a similar note. For instance, the patchwork embossing technique using scraps of card and paper and the distressing ones. And for this card I used both. By the way this embossing pattern is one of my new favourites. It is a Cuttlebug folder that is 5 x 7 so can emboss much larger panels than the original ones.

To me, this is a 'pretty' card that would be suitable for a chap to receive without it being at all girly! Which means you get to enjoy making it and he doesn't feel awkward receiving it - everyone wins!

I do love your blog Paula.

Not seen your blog for a week (hospital) so it's a treat to see so many cards, Paula! I LOVE the way you've used your stamps in the cards june 1st and May 31st- inspired or what?! You are so talented and generous, showing how to use these stamps, and also the inks and punches too- Thank you. Will try the overlapping ideas, feel much better for reading /seeing this, Paula, and will spend some time trying the colours too-but I don't think the butterfly die is for me- too big, but I like the swirls one he does...will try something on those lines (or curves!!)-best wishes-
Cathy
